I just realized this about Stars Wars:
1.) It's a complete patriarchy (Princess Leia couldn't have the force and be a Jedi? She's the child of Anakin too).
2.) It's so easy to go over to the dark side because the good guys resemble bad guys. Again, it's a patriarchal idea that fights must be won with brute force. When the real good guys come, they won't be wielding weapons.

but also there's no denying they are pretty much all male and obi wan just puts all his faith in anakin and then luke... no one was ever looking for a woman to be the savior of everyone ever. and when you list all the main jedis, they're all men.
